Print pro tip: Car fuses

It is important to protect your equipment from fires and short circuits. The best method is to include fuses. Primarily at the heat bed, hot end and between your power supply and your board.

The rating of the fuse is dependent of the voltage and wattage you are using.

Recommended values:
Heatbed: 10-15A
Hotend: 5A
Board: 5A

You can use spade connectors to connect your cables to the fuse.

A great way to organize them all is to print this nifty fuse holder:

You can also buy an inline fuse holder and install it onto your exisitng printer, simply replace the lead coming from your PSU to the board with it.
